How pullup-pushup works. When you do a pullup, you engage your lats, mid-back, rear delts, biceps, forearms, and core. Pushups train your chest, shoulders, triceps, and core. So between these two movements, you’ve got the whole upper body covered.
How can I increase my pull-up strength?
Exercise: Inverted row Hang from the bar so your arms are straight, your core is tight, and your body is in a straight line. This is the starting position. Squeeze your shoulder blades together and pull yourself up until your chest is near the bar. Slowly lower yourself back to the starting position.
